Instructor: Selçuk Keser

In this class you will learn how to create a mechanism using computer, or how to create Automata with paper, cardboard, wood and Plastics. Make your own products with using laser cut technology and wood materials.

Also, you will learn how to create a machine, with using some motion types. You will also understand how mechanisms work, such as; ventilation machine, sewing machine, wooden muppets, walking robots, primitive inventions, Da Vinci Machines…etc

What is Laser cut?

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut or engrave materials. While typically used for industrial manufacturing applications, it is also starting to be used by schools, small businesses, and hobbyists.

What is Automata?

An automata is a self-operating machine, or a machine or control mechanism designed to automatically follow a predetermined sequence of operations, or respond to predetermined instructions. Some automata, such as bellstrikers in mechanical clocks, are designed to give the illusion to the casual observer that they are operating under their own power.

Course Objectives
