Language: English

Dates: 27 June – 8 July 2022

Course Description

This intensive English program is designed for high school students and aims to improve their communicative competence using interactive tools and learning platforms related to current events.

The program materials will include but not limited to Ted Talks, short documentaries of interest to high school students, podcasts, and online learning tools that are designed to encourage students to produce spoken and written language. In this way, students will become more proficient language users. Students will also be exposed to short articles, journals, biographies, and reports on a variety of topics. They will be asked to reflect on the texts and respond to them verbally and/or in writing. These activities will also give students the opportunity to improve their creative writing skills by freely expressing their opinions.

In addition to contributing to their language skills, this program will also offer students the chance of experiencing a foreign language classroom in a university environment.

Mandatory orientation will be held on Sunday, June 26th, between 13:00 and 16:00.
