Application Process
All high school students who are in the 9th, 10th or 11th grade and meet the language proficiency requirements (CEFR B2 and above) for courses to be held in English can apply to Koç University 2024 Summer Academy program.
Required Documents
You will need to upload all the documents listed below into our application system in colored JPEG and/or PDF format to complete your application:
- Official transcript (Should include all courses taken at high school level and must be sealed and signed)
- For the camps that are taught in English; English Test Score(s)
The list of accepted test scores:
- TOEFL/TOEFL Junior
- IELTS
- PTE
- Cambridge tests: FCE, CAE, CPE
- PLEP Test
Important Note: English test scores must not be taken more than 2 years ago.
Student will be asked to write an Essay (Should be a short essay explaining why the student wants to join our program) when filling out the application form. (The essay may be written in Turkish or English) (250 to 500 words.) The students are expected to write this essay by themselves.
* If the language of the course chosen by the student is Turkish, student should be proficient in Turkish.
* If the language of the course chosen by the student is Turkish, student should be
proficient in Turkish
If the candidate does not have the documents listed below or any other document indicating his/her English level, the steps to be followed are:
Candidates who do not have a current English certificate can request a short reference letter from the English teacher at school containing information about their current language level.
The reference letter they will receive must include the equivalent of the student’s current language level on the CEFR scale (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2) or (if the CEFR scale is not used) the equivalent between the “Beginner, Elementary, Intermediate, Upper-Intermediate, Advanced” levels.
In addition, the details of these responses should be specified according to the “Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking” subsections.

Applications made between April 1, 2024 – May 31, 2024 (provided that all documents are complete) will be evaluated.
Important Note: Program quotas may be filled sooner than the specified date range. Applications are given priority in chronological order.
Rules and Responsibilities
All students participating in the program are responsible for the homework, exams and evaluations during the course or courses they choose.
Attendance at classes is mandatory. Course evaluations are made according to the conditions determined by the faculty member.
All students participating in the program are subject to the rules and regulations determined by our University and YÖK. Click for related links.
In addition, all students and their families will sign a “Code of Conduct Declaration” before the program starts; The student will be responsible for the rules specified in the documents from the first day to the last day of the program.
