Course Description

The Exploring Ecology course is designed to introduce high school students to the fascinating world of ecology and environmental science. Through a combination of hands-on activities, and interactive discussions, students will gain a deep understanding of the interconnectedness of living organisms and their environment. The course will cover various ecological concepts, including genes, species, ecosystem biodiversity, climate change, and human impacts on the environment. We will start with some historical events, which raised human concern about environmental pollution and how related movements, green parties and international agreements formed. Then we will dig into 4.5 billion years ago to see how life formed on earth and what happened to the Dinos and other organisms on this planet.
